Open Source Business Conference (OSBC)
is the industry’s only forum for senior business leaders, C-level technical strategists, lawyers and venture capitalists to collaborate on emerging business models, strategies and profitability for open source software use. OSBC explores the legal, investment, vendor and customer risks, rewards and opportunities presented by open source software. The program will provide content-rich sessions from well-known thought leaders and industry executives on how open source technology is being used and to investigate the business implications of this technology.

Tracks and Topics include:
»What's Next - Open source business models (cutting edge models and details on how the leading companies do business), emerging issues (Attribution, effective download conversion strategies, etc.), and other topics of interest to the rising tide of open source vendors
»What's Now - Examine CIO issues - implementation strategies, cost savings, etc., as well as ways to work with open source communities and get quality support
»What's Legal - How to take a proprietary product into the open, the mechanics of setting up an open source review board for enterprises, what GPLv3 means for the industry, and more

 Why Attend?
InfoWorld recently surveyed 800 IT and business professionals to look at open source deployment trends and management. Data revealed that open source continues to expand across the enterprise, with 87% of respondents indicating that their companies were already using several open source projects. As open source implementations scale to over 100 products at an organization, IT challenges focus on the ability to select the right group of open source products to work together within the context of an open source policy. As these open source policies are developed and implemented, organizations gain needed insights and visibility into ROI and how open source improves overall business agility.
