There is no monolithic open source community. There is only a community of (relatively) small open source communities, competing for mindshare and developer-share. Important as this is for non-commercial open source projects, it's absolutely critical for commercial open source vendors. Open source vendors without growing open source communities are emperors without clothes; corporations without a future. This sessions assembles the industry's leaders in open source community development. They will help to parse through the myths of community to settle on best practices for establishing and growing open source development and distribution communities, and will also tease out the legal structures most optimal to community development.
