Director of Marketing, Linux & Open Platform Solutions, Novell, Inc.
Justin Steinman is responsible for Linux and open platforms marketing at Novell, which includes the SUSE Linux Enterprise platform, server, desktop and other open source products. His responsibilities include managing the product marketing team and contributing to go-to-market strategy for direct and indirect channels, market segmentation, campaign strategy and messaging and collateral development. He also manages all of the joint marketing related to the Microsoft-Novell agreement. Prior to this position, Justin worked for Novell on the North America field marketing team and on the market strategy team. Previously, Justin worked in solutions marketing for Tilion, Inc., a venture-backed startup that developed web services software for the supply chain. Justin holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus in New Product and Venture Development. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude, with a dual degree in English and History.
